The following information outlines the itinerary for arriving International Students:
Aero One- Arriving Into Canada
Here at Aero Academy, we understand the initial re-adjustment students must go through upon arriving in Canada. It is natural to have feelings of being home-sick as you become familiar with both a new culture and unfamiliar surroundings. To help ease the transition, Aero Academy has developed a program which will allow us to spend time welcoming you into the Aero Family while helping you adjust to life in a new country.
"Aero Will Be There For You"
Aero Academy’s welcoming team will receive you at the Airport when you first arrive; from there, you will be taken to our accommodations or the place of residence as arranged by you. Upon your arrival, you will be provided with an information package on grocery and retail shopping centers, local attractions, restaurants, public transportation, information on the London International Airport, an Aero Academy Key Personnel contact list, and maps of the surrounding area.
An Aero Academy complimentary welcome basket with all the necessary amenities will also be waiting for you in your room; included will be all the basic food items you’ll need (Bread, Milk, Cheese, Fruits, etc.) to get you started. Furthermore, upon your arrival you will be assigned a personal contact at Aero Academy that will be available to answer any questions you may have, and help you adjust to your new daily routine.
Aero Two- Welcome to Aero Flight Academy
Aero Academy provides all of its students with complimentary transportation to and from our facilities at the London International Airport. Each morning you will be picked up from the lobby of your apartment or hotel and transported to Aero Academy. Upon your initial arrival you will be received by the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) who will provide you with a guided tour of the school, our aircraft, and the airport facilities.
The CFI will also arrange for you to meet one-on-one with the Transport Canada Certified Flight Instructor specifically appointed to you. Your Instructor will guide you through setting up your Pilot Training Record, obtaining your pilot supplies and groundschool schedule, as well as booking an aircraft for your very first flight towards becoming a Commercial Pilot.
Your Instructor will be sure to provide you with any help you need in developing a daily routine and will also provide you early on with all the necessary materials to help you obtain a Student Pilot Permit and Radio License, two of the necessary requirements before going solo.
Prior to every flight, your Instructor will also review your basic knowledge, ensure all paper work is in order, and answer any questions you may have before departing. We encouraged you to approach any Aero Academy staff member, Instructor’s, or even the CFI, to clarify any questions or concerns you may have as you progress through your flight training.
