Professional Pilot Program
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in flight training with Aero Academy.
This is a good time to start your pilot training. The airlines are starting to hire those who are qualified. Pilots who are training now, or are starting their training will be the first to be hired.
Pilots at all levels will be needed. AERO ACADEMY's Professional Pilot Program has been designed to give you the training and knowledge needed for a career in aviation.
The following information outlines admission requirements, curriculum and the cost of training.
If you have any problems please contact Aero Academy for assistance.
We look forward to meeting you in person to discuss your individual training requirements.
General
The Professional Pilot Program is a 48 week course for the full time student covering the Private and Commercial Pilot Licenses. It is designed for the student with no experience, however this program can accommodate those already holding licenses.
(Please note that some professional training is available for part time students, but not as a part of this program - please ask for details.)
The student must attend classes a minimum of 5 days per week. Ground school will be 20 hours per week. Attendance on weekends and evenings may be required depending on weather and other considerations such as night flying.
Classes for full time students start at various times throughout the year. Please contact the school office for the starting time of the next class.
Admission Requirements
Applicants for the Professional Pilot Program must be at least 18 years of age, (or turn eighteen within six months of starting the program) and have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, or have mature student status.
Prior to acceptance, applicants will be interviewed and must be able to successfully complete an English and Mathematics skill test. Other aptitude tests may also be required.
A Transport Canada Class 1 Aviation Medical must be obtained by each applicant. Training will not commence until we have received the Medical Certificate from Transport Canada. You will be considered if you have a Class III medical and have applied for a Class I medical.
Aero Academy reserves the right to accept or decline any application for training.

To apply for pilot training please complete fully the application form. Include a short letter outlining why you chose AERO ACADEMY, and your career goals. Please include a copy of your secondary school diploma, or college degree, including transcripts of the last year.
